With a last name like that, how can I not stand out?

My RESUME

Hey there! I’m Maggie Makosiej (Muh-Ko-Shē)! I’m a big extrovert who loves connecting with people and bringing ideas to life through design. Creativity has always been my thing — whether it’s building brands, designing social media content, or crafting experiences that resonate. Every project, from internships to freelance work, is an opportunity to grow, try new things, and make an impact. Outside of design, I love exploring new hobbies, meeting people, and finding inspiration in everyday life — all while having fun of course!

My Time at Clemson

Attending Clemson University and studying Graphic Communications with a minor in Business Administration has been such an amazing part of my journey. I’ve gotten to work on countless projects from start to finish, seeing them through every stage — from concept and design to press and production. Courses like GC 2440, Web Design, and GC 3400 Photography have helped me build a versatile skill set while giving me the technical knowledge to bring ideas to life across both print and digital. The combination of hands-on projects and classroom learning has taught me to design thoughtfully, creatively, and with purpose.

My Professional Growth

I've also worked hard to gain real-world experience that pushes me to grow as a designer. From interning with Clemson’s Division of Marketing and Communications, the Gantt Multicultural Center, and Tigertown Graphics, to managing my own freelance projects and personal ventures, I’ve strengthened my skills in Adobe Creative Suite, branding, layout, photography, and content creation. These experiences have taught me how to collaborate, adapt, and approach every project intentionally. Each role has helped me figure out the kind of designer I want to be — one who creates meaningful work, builds strong brands, and delivers experiences that leave an impact.

I'll be tossing my cap in May of 2026 with my B.S. degree in Graphic Communications from Clemson!

My ultimate goal is to build a career in design where I can focus on branding, creative direction, and crafting visual experiences that really connect with people. I see every project, big or small, as a chance to learn, grow, and make something I’m proud of — and that’s exactly what I plan to keep doing!
