Working full-time as a design intern at Tigertown Graphics, also home to the Southern Fried Cotton brand, has been one of my most valuable hands-on learning experiences. Being part of an in-house design team allowed me to see firsthand how creative concepts develop into real products — from sketch to screen print. I worked closely with the Art staff to create apparel graphics, digital marketing materials, social media content, and custom client designs, as well as other tasks such as marketing photoshoots! This fast-paced, collaborative environment strengthened my technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, expanded my understanding of production workflows, and refined my attention to detail through every step of the design process.

This role has also taught me how to truly work as part of a creative team — balancing my own artistic style with brand direction and client needs. I’ve gained experience designing across a wide range of formats, from apparel and retail graphics to promotional and digital projects, each requiring its own unique approach. Beyond improving my technical and creative skills, this internship deepened my appreciation for how design can bring a brand to life through consistency, collaboration, and craftsmanship.
