In November of 2024, I applied for the Summer 2025 digital marketing internship with Fans First Entertainment and went through a multi-stage interview process that was both challenging and fun! Over several months, I completed three rounds, including phone and Zoom interviews with marketing managers, the design team, and HR, as well as a “test drive” project where I created graphics, redesigned their website, and tackled several other social media challenges based on their brand guidelines.

Although I ultimately wasn’t offered the internship, I used the feedback I received to redo and refine the test drive projects. I adjusted the gradients, added texture, cleaned up clipping masks, and improved typography placement, revisiting the baseball card and stadium graphics. This process allowed me to apply what I’d learned in the past few months, strengthen my design proficiency, and create polished pieces that reflect my growth as a designer.

Text-based instructions about an Atlanta Braves game at Truist Park, including graphics details for social media promotion.

The feedback I received for this graphic to improve it included cleaning up the clipping mask around the players and maybe having the words sit on top of the stadium! When I went back to redo it, I did just that, and also again applied an overlay to give it some fun dimension, as well as drop shadows and cleaned up clipping masks to make it pop!

The feedback I received for this graphic to improve it revolved around adding some dimension/texture and playing with the gradient. When I revisited it more recently, i Incorporated that advice as well as found a different highlight photo to simplify the design, and I leaned into this “baseball card” feel!

Graphic featuring October baseball player highlights, including images of Jason Swan, a player in a black shirt with face paint, a shirtless player with a bandana, and a player with back turned in a pink jersey with the name Swan. Stats include 12 trick plays, a batting average of .387, 2 home runs, 17 RBIs, and 6 stolen bases.

I didn’t have any notes on the website, and overall I was really happy with it! Below is screenshots of their current site followed by my revision.
